JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Identify and correct inconsistencies between Caterpillar systems and external Transportation visibility systems.
• Identify issues preventing loading of partner data (data mapping issue, incorrect identification numbers, etc)
• identify partners not sending event data & working with partners for EDI correction/ optimization.
• Identify issues with delays in receiving data from partners (latency).
• Collaborating with Logistics Analysts, Information Technology teams, Operational and Transportation managers to analyse opportunities, quantify scope for improvement and define core areas of focus.
• Designing and developing effective recommendations, features and dashboards.
• Provide actionable insights and support rollout / implementation to improve Supply Chain experience and cost to serve.

BACKGROUND /EXPERIENCE:

• 4-6 years of experience required for this position.
• An understanding of the material flow in the international transportation process.
• Strong Data Quality, quantitative analysis, and data crunching skills.
• Capable problem solver who uses logic to create effective solutions to complex customer problems
• Experience with Office applications with an emphasis on Access/SQL and connecting via ODBC to multiple data sources and using queries to retrieve data.
• IT generalist with experience in distributed systems leveraging relational databases and current application interface technology (WBI, EAI, EDI, API).
• The ability to communicate effectively in English via email and phone conversations.
• Bachelor s Degree with a Masters in Logistics/Supply Chain is preferred.
• Visualization using Tableau/Power-BI.
• Previous experience in Supply chain, Logistics and IT Systems experience preferred
• Must demonstrate superior innovation, initiative, judgment, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate quantitative information effectively.
