Job Purpose and Impact
The Data Engineer will design, build and execute high-performance, data-centric solutions using the our comprehensive big data capabilities. We seek a professional who can build and optimize data products to bring data and analytics products and solutions to our businesses. Key Accountabilities
Provide necessary technical support through all phases of testing and incident handling after deployment.
Develop technical solutions using big data and cloud-based technologies.
Configure and develop data pipelines to move and optimize data assets.
Contribute to designing solutions for Cargill’s big data and advanced analytics solutions aligned with requirements.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Strong conceptual, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills; confirmed ability to build trust and strong relationships
Applied experience with cloud platforms
Two or more years experience in SQL scripting, Java and Python
Three or more years of experience working with Hadoop or other big data platform and building solutions that deliver value through leveraging data as an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, statistics or business
Experience working with various types of data sources.
Applied experience and skills with application programming interface development
Applied experience in reporting tools like Power BI , Tableau etc.
Six years of information technology and business/industry work experience developing data or software applications including: analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying and supporting of applications
