Business Analyst
Overview:
The Business Analyst will act as a business partner and link between all departments and will focus on reviewing internal processes & workflows, identifying operational problems and recommending relevant solutions to ensure excellence in overall business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between the business, the IT team in transforming the business requirements into business solutions and ensuring that goals are completed within set time-frames.
- Lead the initiative of workflow / work process streamlining and improvement throughout the organization.
- Gather, clarify and document business information from all departments while creating positive working relationships with all team members.
- Map out existing, As-Is” workflows and work processes and recommending solutions based on best practices.
- Propose solutions to problems that are encountered in the existing workflow / work processes.
- Translate business requirements that arise throughout the organization into system requirements that can be easily understood by programmers, developers and different business partners.
- Monitor and report on performance after implementation of workflow/work process changes or system changes to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the change.
- Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities within the business to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of processes and human capital.
Experience/Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of experience in business re-engineering, workflows design and implementation
- Experience in identifying and communicating requirements effectively to internal and external business partners in a manner that can be translated into business solution by IT teams or Software partners
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Six Sigma certification is required
- Experience in risk assessment and impacts when implementing business solutions
- Strong presentation skills with an ability to communicate complex findings in simple ways, both in writing and verbally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with business leaders.
- Comfortable operating under uncertainty and tight timelines.
- Proficient in MS office suite
