This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: fall, 2nd rotation: spring, 3rd rotation: summer).
The Business Intelligence Co-Op will support the Business Intelligence (BI) experts within the Data Visualization and ETL Product responsible for BI platforms within BMW. The co-op will support System analysis, design, development and testing in an agile delivery model.
- Develop visualizations in Power BI, Tableau and Qlik
- Provide administrative and process support of Product team members
- Support the BMW Agile Working Model (AWM)
- Assist the Product team in the management of the platform
- Ensure the consistent delivery of Product Services to the Business in locations throughout BMW’s global enterpris
- Documenting and maintaining information and requirements in Confluence, writing User Stories using JIRA and assisting the team with process requirements within AWM
- Develops dashboards used for reporting (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or others)
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science (IT), Business major or relevant professional experience in combination with other majors.
- Basic Knowledge of database modeling and schemas.
- Experience in conducting data analysis and using Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using software in developing automations using Python, C++, Java, PowerShell or other scripting languages is preferred.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence including preference for JIRA Query Language (JQL) experience would be an asset.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have full-time status at an accredited four year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- The work term dates are August 14th – December 15th, 2023
