Job Description
On this team – data is the product. We’re working to make Optum’s unmatched repository of healthcare data available to the data scientists, analysts, and medical professionals that use that data to improve healthcare and medical outcomes. This means building pipelines to acquire data, constructing data warehouses and lakes, and integrating data storage with notebooks, query engines, and platforms for high performance analytic jobs. This also means handling data security and governance in an environment where protecting customer data is always mission critical.
## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years professional experience in a technical role (software developer, infrastructure admin, DBA, etc.)
* 3+ years in AWS
* 3+ years’ experience with Terraform
* Experience with cloud networking
* Experience with cloud security
* 3+ years’ experience with Parquet, Hive, Spark
* 3+ years’ experience with Scala
* 3+ years’ experience with Python
* Experience building data pipelines
* Experience building data warehouses or lakes
* Experience working in an Agile development environment
* Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
* BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
## Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of healthcare data structure and types
* Knowledge of Azure Data Bricks
* Experience in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
* Experience with Snowflake
Additional Skills & Qualifications
