Role of Teradata Consultant
- EDW developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Datawarehouse and analytics architecture to meet an enterprise’s business analysis and reporting needs.
- Experience in working with business analysts to identify and understand requirements in order to create Technical Design Documents.
- Process the raw data, put it into the harmonized format, perform data analysis and build logic to meet business needs.
- Experience in monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis.
- Ensure all the codes are maintained in the version control system
- Supports existing and new ETL processes with best practices and ensures appropriate optimization for the same.
- Data extraction from different source systems – Oracle, DB2, My SQL, Flat Files, SAP BW, and XML Files.
- Experience in Huge data sets to load Fact Tables.
- Experienced in doing performance Tuning of Informatica objects- Finding the bottlenecks at source, Target, and mapping level and eliminating them with tuning methods.
- Expertise in using Teradata Utilities BTEQ, M-Load, F-Load, TPT, and F-Export in combination with Informatica for better Load into the Teradata warehouse.
- Experience in Solving tickets raised by Business users as part of the application support team.
- Experience in the ETL Admin team for code migration activities and deployments.
- Involved in Unit testing, System testing to check whether the data loads into target are accurate.
- Experience in working in Agile methodology and ability to manage changes effectively.
- Extensive experience with SQL and
- and Performance Tuning of Data Base queries.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, self-starter, eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate the latest technologies concepts, and ideas.
