Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: The aim of the role is to work as part of a team on to provide 24/7/365 operational support, incident management and stakeholder communication for the systems used to produce, publish and serve content for a range of adidas platforms and services (possibly including mobile, tablet, desktop, and IPTV). Key Responsibilities: Specialist advice • Actively maintains knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms. • Provides detailed and specific advice regarding the application of their specialism(s) to the organisation’s planning and operations. • Recognises and identifies the boundaries of their own specialist knowledge. • Collaborates with other specialists, where appropriate, to ensure advice given is appropriate to the needs of the organisation. Business analysis • Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation. • Assists in defining acceptance tests for these recommendations. Testing • Reviews requirements and specifications, and defines test conditions. • Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes. • Analyses and reports test activities and results. Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work. Date: March 2019 Page 2 of 3 Systems integration and build • Defines the software modules needed for an integration build and produces a build definition for each generation of the software. • Accepts completed software modules, ensuring that they meet defined criteria. Produces software builds from software source code for loading onto target hardware. • Configures the hardware and software environment as required by the system being integrated. • Produces integration test specifications, conducts tests and records and reports on outcomes. • Diagnoses faults and records and reports on the results of tests. • Produces system integration reports. Porting/software configuration • Configures software and equipment and tests platform-specific versions of one or more software products. • Reports the outcome of testing and identifies potential improvements to the process and to the software products according to agreed designs and standards. Configuration management • Applies tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information related to configuration items. • Verifies and approves changes ensuring protection of assets and components from unauthorised change, diversion and inappropriate use. • Ensures that users comply with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates. • Performs audits to check the accuracy of information and undertakes any necessary corrective action under direction. Release and deployment • Uses the tools and techniques for specific areas of release and deployment activities. • Administers the recording of activities, logging of results and documents technical activity undertaken. • May carry out early life support activities such as providing support advice to initial users. Application support • Identifies and resolves issues with applications, following agreed procedures. • Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. • Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks. Problem management • Investigates problems in systems, processes and services. • Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. Date: March 2019 Page 3 of 3 Incident management • Following agreed procedures, identifies, registers and categorises incidents. • Gathers information to enable incident resolution and promptly allocates incidents as appropriate. • Maintains records and advises relevant persons of actions taken.
