Job Location: Gandhinagar
Responsibilities:
Teaching and Student Engagement
- Teaching, counselling and evaluation within Big Data Analytics.
- Planning, coordinating and managing courses.
- Developing the academic content of the relevant educational programs.
- Research collaboration and facilitation within the Faculty.
- Support students throughout the entire student life cycle to include helping students, advising throughout the program, and assisting students with making connections to their eventual career upon graduation.
- Prepare course outlines and curriculum, develop course and lesson plans and other teaching aids.
- Duties will include preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials and workshops, preparing and marking assignments, tests and examinations, responding to student inquiries, maintaining regular office hours, and invigilating tests and examinations. The duties will also include the technical support for labs. The successful candidate will be expected to follow an 80% teaching and 20% admin workload each year.
Continuing Scholarly and Professional Development
- Remain engaged in professional trends and activities to continually enhance the curricular offerings and program/institutional resources.
- Maintain a current knowledge of advances and innovations in the academic discipline and pursue scholarly development within and outside the subject discipline.
- Engage in scholarly activity related to the discipline (e.g., presentation of papers, serving on panel discussions, publication of articles and books, grant writing, participation in seminars, book reviewing and abstracting).
Subjects
Statistics, Decision Science, Time series and Forecasting Techniques & Analysis, Business Analytics, Intelligence & Forecasting, and Enterprise Data Visualization etc.
Eligibility
Ph.D. in relevant area along with 5-10 years teaching experience in reputed institution.
