Job Location: Trivandrum/Thiruvananthapuram
Role :
– Driving code reviews, design reviews architecture discussions.
– Setting up best practices to help the team achieve the above and constantly thinking about improving technology use are your responsibilities.
– Driving the adoption of these best practices around coding, design, quality, performance in your team, and influence them for the entire organization are also expectations from you.
– Define & drive the implementation of a long-term technology vision for your product & team.
– Drive a culture of curiosity and active debate around technology
– Experiment with new & relevant technologies and tools, and drive adoption while measuring yourself on the impact you are able to create.
– Must have a good understanding of design and coding practices and apply this independently in development.
– Own the lifecycle of a feature from requirement analysis to deployment and post-production processes.
– Perform code reviews and support your team implement best practices
– Continuously improve the performance metrics of modules owned.
– Performs RCAs and deploys long-term fixes.
– Implement initiatives that improve engineering efficiency and excellence
– Participate in the hiring and interview process for junior developers on your team
Preferred skills :
– Excellent Problem-Solving skills for complex & large-scale problems.
– Ideally 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
– Technical Breadth – Exposure to a wide variety of problem spaces, technologies, preferably in Python, Node, Angular and GO.
– Very Strong System design and with a nifty ability to craft clean interfaces and operate at the right levels of abstraction.
– Solid coding skills with the ability to drive teams through massive refactoring exercises & improve coding standards across large codebases.
– Deep knowledge, understanding & experience of working with a large variety of multi-tier architectures.
– Deep understanding & experience of high-performance web-scale & real-time response systems.
– Experience & Expertise in a variety of large-scale persistent systems including large databases.
– Exposure to complete product development cycles – From inception to production to scaling up, supporting new requirements, re-architectures
– Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving and technical innovation.
– Team Management With 60:40 Ratio (60% will be individual contribution and 40% Team Management)
– Excellent Communication Skills in English (written and Oral) is a must.
– Experience with AI (and/or) Blockchain technologies and development is a great advantage.
