The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Data Operations Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Analyzing and fixing data integration issues across SQL databases, FHIR repositories, and HL7 messages
Analyzing customer data trends and potential anomalies in their feeds
Collaborating with implementation and integration teams in researching issues
Design and develop monitoring metrics related to customer data
Solving day-to-day production and customer challenges
Provide data support to internal and external stakeholders
Communicate with customers on issues related to received data and help them identify and fix data issues

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and two (2) years of experience in software industry

High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and six (6) years of experience

Two (2) years of experience with SQL

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Proficiency with HL7
Proficiency with JSON and parsing
Proficiency working with web APIs and microservices
Linux/Unix shell scripting skills
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and cloud-based databases
Experience in health care
Detail-oriented
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Travel: No travel required

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
