Job Location: Hampton, VA
Teksouth Corporation is currently searching for a Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Developer to be located on-site at client location, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. The Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for using Microsoft technologies to develop new tools and functionalities, and will be responsible for expanding the functionality of existing solutions to meet the needs of new requirements. This role will work closely with the client and other Teksouth Employees during all stages of development.

Major Areas of Responsibility
- Automate the process of integrating multiple sources of DoD/Air Force Accounting, Financial, and Budget data for the client
- Develop, maintain, and customize analytics and business intelligence tools using approved Microsoft technologies
- Create reporting and data visualization solutions to improve the efficiency of daily operations
- Provide analytical and business intelligence solutions to leadership and tenant units to support decision making
- Facilitate change management best practices
Specific Responsibilities of the Job
- Conduct requirement gathering meetings and document identified requirements; design and develop analytics and business intelligence tools implementing approved requirements
- Identify possible data sources to integrate using current and past legacy systems
- Convert all data sources to interface with Microsoft based analytics and business intelligence applications
- Link Microsoft Access data sources to Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables and/or Microsoft Power BI to support client requirements
- Create data visualizations in Microsoft based analytics and business intelligence applications
- Develop Visual Basic for Applications code in Microsoft Office to automate data collection and integration processes
- Perform quality checks on a routine basis for all deliverables
- Lead/Conduct training on technologies such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Access, Excel, and Power BI
- Lead specialized analysis and development efforts for analysts and leaders
Job Requirements
- Broad knowledge of DoD Financial Management, Accounting, and Budgeting processes and procedures
- General knowledge of U.S. Air Force Financial, Accounting, and Budgeting systems, including DEAMS, GAFS-BQ, and CRIS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Visual Basic for Applications
- Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI
- Proficiency in tools/techniques to link data between Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients, from analysts to senior DoD/Air Force officials
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a large organization, managing diverse tasks, requirements, and commitments
- Demonstrated ability to document processes and procedures, and provide guidance on execution of developed solutions
- Willingness to study, develop skills, and implement the latest technologies to enhance customer solutions
- Understanding of the CMMI framework
- Must have SECRET security clearance
Education and Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience
- BS/BA degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related scientific field and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience; OR
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience includes: Technical analysis, data integration, dashboard design, dashboard creation, and dashboard display
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Work sitting or standing at a desk, cubicle, or conference table for extended periods of time (1-3 hours), with the ability to shift positions while working: sit, stand, pace, adjust positioning in any of those without issue
- Use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Ability to work in a tempered climate-control office environment
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
