Job Description
This position will support, and report to the Risk Management Operations Manager. The Underwriting Business Analyst will combine business knowledge, analytical skills and technical expertise to provide day to day support and informational analysis for Profit Center objectives.
- Collections: Support the Profit Center with keeping accounts receivable current by collaborating with Collections and the Broker. This includes but is not limited to: Reviewing the early reminder information to ensure appropriate billing contact, reviewing the daily cash report to check if payment has been received prior to following up with the broker, attend Collections War Room meetings, review billing payment discrepancies and resolve as needed.
- Premium Audit: Support the Profit Center with resolving Premium Audit disputes and discrepancies. This includes calls with vendors when appropriate and working closely with the Premium Audit Coordinator.
- Compliance: Work directly with Compliance reporting Team and Underwriting Analysts to ensure IRF’s are filed correctly and timely.
- Assist Operations Manager with resolving day-to-day issues and documenting process improvements for long-term solutions, training, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- MS Office Proficient – advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookups and complex functions/formulas.
- Background or familiarity with commercial insurance policy required; minimum three years commercial insurance experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
