Carrols Corporation LLC, a well-established, publicly traded company based in Syracuse, NY continues to expand. We have an exciting and challenging opportunity in our Restaurant Systems group for a Business Analyst II role.
Summary
Responsible for assisting in the delivery of business solutions that cross over multiple functional areas of the company including Operations, Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing and Human Resources. Responsibilities include scope definitions, requirements gathering, systems analysis, conceptual and detailed design, system parameter configuration, prototype development, project management, plans/timelines/estimates, problem solving and technical resource direction. Recommend solutions and alternatives to the application and technology platforms as the restaurant industry changes including automation, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Essential Duties & Responsbilities
- Coordinate marketing product information which includes price, promotions, cost, taxation, menus, kitchen routing, recipes, yields, conversion factors, new items, supplier items, and site uniqueness.
- Manage POS/Kitchen, Inventory, and kitchen production systems projects/tasks as they arise, including validation of vendor software updates.
- Analyze and recommend database changes to the POS/Kitchen & Inventory File Maintenance.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the business functions to ensure effective design and quality results.
- Maintain an understanding of the interfaces used for devices, and internal/third party data delivery requirements, such as BKC API & transactional data, mobile platforms, and payment processing.
- Establish and prioritize projects and objectives based upon needs.
- Assist the technical team in the automation of program changes to reduce operational impact at the sites.
- Provide direction and assign project tasks to team members/subordinates and follow up to ensure all tasks are completed timely.
- Review the test results from validation in the labs and/or pilot sites to ensure acceptable results before deploying changes to all sites.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule the timely distribution and implementation of software updates to supported technology platforms and interfaces.
- Ensure a Home Office mail memo is created explaining all code fix changes and enhancements in detail at a restaurant level understanding.
- Document defects and software requirements for all in-house and third party software applications.
- Demonstrate excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Write helpdesk knowledge articles, department documentation and procedures as needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive company material and information.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute detailed performance feedback to support the employee performance appraisal process and assist with presenting, if needed.
- Supervise & motivate project team members and/or subordinates.
- Mentor and develop other team members by serving as a subject matter expert.
- Delegate and follow up to ensure the work meets our objectives.
- Coordinate schedules and tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Manage by example.

Education & Experience
- Associates degree in technical or business related field or 2 plus years professional experience equivalent in systems analysis and remote implementation.
- Project leader experience a plus.
- Job related supervisory experience a plus.
- Restaurant and/or retail application background in POS, Inventory, Labor Scheduling or Payments Management a plus.
Language Skills
- Ability to express ideas persuasively and clearly, orally and in writing.
- Ability to document and present technical information to be understood by non-technical users.
- Ability to organize and present material in a manner to gain agreement or acceptance.
- Establish and maintain professional and efficient vendor communications.
- Good customer service skills.
Computer Skills
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficient use of current Windows and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
- Thorough understanding of SQL queries for relational databases.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation techniques.
- Conceptual understanding of networking & PC architecture.
