ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:
- Understand the data needs of department analysts and collaborates to provide data sets in Tableau for business units, data analysts, sales admins, and financial analysts.
- Architect and define company data flows with focus on database integrity.
- Balance cost, value and time when determining appropriate solutions that are needed for data driven decisions.
- Arrive at solutions that combine the data architecture and application code for optimal outcomes and solutions.
- Assist with TSW data requests, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Support various departmental analyst positions, make suggestions for efficiencies, and participate in Analyst meetings.
- Write custom reports as needed and/or write “one-off” queries to SQL databases for data analysis as needed.
- Analyze business practices with business goals and efficiencies in mind to recommend/ change methodologies in the application or user work flow.
- Perform basic planning, scheduling, execution, documentation, status reporting and follow-up for assigned tasks.
- Ensure smooth flow of information between users and data. Make sure data systems are always working and correct.
- Uphold Hospitality Standards, Company Culture, Department Core Standards and observe Company policies and procedures.
- Be the “End of the Line” and resolve every situation inherited, not passing it along, whenever possible.
- Follow up on any situation that is not fully resolved at the time of the initial request always giving consideration to what the guest or owner deems appropriate.
- Strive to close the loop (alleviate or eliminate issues) on any situations that cannot be fully resolved.
- Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all contacts, always being helpful and courteous.
- Attend and participate in company-wide training sessions and department staff meetings.
MARGINAL DUTIES: Functions that are not considered essential to the job:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow Company guidelines for environmental sustainability practices (recycling, composting and conserving resources) and participate in the Company’s sustainability initiatives.
COMPUTER EXPERIENCE: Ability to type by touch, operate a personal computer and accurately record time worked, in the correct department, using the Company time keeping system. Ability to interpret and apply complex technical information; knowledge of systems design and implementation in a database environment; Experience with SQL db structure and Query; knowledge of technical and user-related aspects of a personal computer environment.
In Addition, The Following Technical Skillsets Are Highly Encouraged
- Expert understanding and experience with Tableau and/or data analytics tools and applications
- Expert understanding of SQL, Security and the MSSQL Server Product Lineage
- Expert in architecting data mapping, data flow, interfaces and application integration
- Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Studio (BIDS) including SSIS, SSRS
- Experience with portable Data Objects such as XML and JSON
- Strong Knowledge of IIS, Apache or similar web serving platforms
- Build and implement customizations and extensions to third party applications
- Participate and champion change management process
- Experience Developing multi-source/destination SSIS Interfaces
- Active Directory management concepts
- Expert understanding of MS Office product suite
- Strong understanding of Networking concepts
- Strong understanding of security concepts at the application and system levels
- Basic understanding of mobile platforms including iOS and Android O
