As a Procurement Business Analyst, you will work with the supplier relationship and strategic sourcing managers to find ways to simplify and automate procurement processes, enable innovation across teams, and to create and maintain performance dashboards to measure and track improvements. This role will also be responsible for project management, documentation of initiatives, and managing tools related to the procurement processes, as well as change management to ensure adoption of any improvements that are implemented. The ideal candidate must be: collaborative, but also work with autonomy; have experience with project management and developing workflows; able to translate business objectives into technical requirements; highly analytical; a strategic thinker; have a sense of urgency to meet customer timelines; exhibit an intense curiosity and learning drive, succeed in a fast-paced environment; engage key stakeholders where needed; and have a high level of customer focus. Also, you must have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects and driving them to completion to meet business objectives. It will be critical to have an entrepreneurial spirit with a “get it done” mentality.

Key Functions/Responsibilities

  • Learn and master the use of the tools and processes that are available to the department
  • Be/become a subject matter expert on all systems and policies related to Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management
  • Assess, evaluate, and identify Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management systems and processes that need optimization, and own creating and managing project plans to deliver process improvement initiatives
  • Support the continuous improvement of the department’s tools by collecting user requests, owning the process for managing tool updates and training, as well as acting as the team representative with IT and consultants to management change
  • Create and deliver training and direct change management activities for individuals and small groups in-person and virtually; create, manage, and disseminate training and communication needs for internal stakeholders and suppliers on department tools and systems as needed
  • Provide technical assistance to internal stakeholders and suppliers, as needed
  • Maintain standard department process and system training materials to ensure they align to system enhancements and department policies
  • Develop and maintain department quality and continuous service improvement tracker(s)
  • Drive adoption and utilization of department tools, systems and processes
  • Manage and update the department Intranet and the supplier area of Wellsense.com e.g., ensure that the latest training and support materials are posted and contact details are accurate
  • Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships and partner closely with peers, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to accomplish WellSense goals; embed a superior customer service attitude
  • Manage multiple tasks, projects, and timelines with a sense of urgency, ownership and within deadline
  • Execute ad-hoc projects related to strategic sourcing operations and transformation activities

Education

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration Project Management, Analytics, Statistics, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required

Experience

  • 2+ years’ Purchasing, Sourcing, Procurement or Supplier Management experience
  • 2+ years’ project management experience
  • 2+ years developing training materials
  • 2+ years’ experience with source-to-pay processes and contract risk, compliance, policies, processes, workflow, and process improvement activities preferred
  • Proficiency defining and analyzing business requirements, and/or process modeling
  • Hands on experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and analytical platforms, including but not limited to the ability to analyze data using pivots and V-Lookups
  • Experience of developing training materials and delivering training

Preferred/Desirable

  • Proficient in SharePoint
  • Experience with Infor ERP system
  • Knowledge of workflow tools such as Smartsheets or contract management tools such as SciQuest by Jaegger
  • Experience with end-to-end contract lifecycle management activities and processes
  • Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge
  • Experience understanding process flow and suggest improvements to deliver cost savings, or other benefits
  • Experience with auditing contract quality and providing reports on audit findings, identify trends, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage programs effectively and maintain project timelines
  • Data analytics expertise; including but not limited to reporting and visualization using platforms like Tableau, Power BI
