Analyst Information Security Operations
We are recruiting for an Analyst – Information Security Operations who will be responsible for managing the email gateway and evaluating email in quarantine queues for malicious indicators. Management of the email gateway includes review and release of messages in quarantine, communications to recipients around malicious messages, and remediation.
Responsibilities
· Manage the email gateway
· Evaluate email in quarantine queues for malicious indicators
· Gather and analyze, and interpret data
· Find patterns and trends in the analyzed data, track and reconcile data
· Formulate documentation and submit reports to the relevant department heads and management
· Identify risks, define mitigation plan
· Review and release messages in quarantine
· Communication with recipients around malicious messages
· Remediation of malicious messages
· Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify, analyze, understand, and prioritize activities by business value and urgency
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 2+ years of experience in IT Security Business Analysis or similar
· Strong understanding of email analysis, phishing attacks and email gateways
· Experience identifying and remediating phishing email
· Experience tracing email headers
· Ability to continually follow the threat landscape to stay on top of the latest vulnerabilities and attacks
· Knowledge of Windows based servers and PC’s
· Knowledge of other cybersecurity technology/tools including (but not limited to) Firewalls
· Intrusion Protection System/Intrusion Detection System (IPS/IDS)
· Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Next Generation Antivirus, Network Access Control (NAC), Nexpose/Metasploit, Burp Suite
· Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel in a cross-functional setting
· Strong attention to detail
