Title: Data Engineer – Sports Analytics

Project Stanley is developing the leading salary cap intelligence database for professional sports leagues.
Position Description:
Seeking a data engineer to join our NHL-focused product team. You will learn about the business of professional sports, player contracts, Salary Cap/CBA, and entrepreneurship in the process. Analysts will be compensated with minority equity.
Scope of Work:
- Analyze complex data sets and identify actionable insights
- Support Engineers and Analysts to execute the product roadmap
- Create models and frameworks to efficiently scale internal processes
- Keep informed about critical issues relevant to business operations in the major professional sports leagues (NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB, and European Soccer)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Highly skilled with SQL, Python and/or R, or related technology
- Nice to have: Google Analytics and Big Query
- A few years of professional experience preferred
- Mamba mentality. Be a hustler. No quit.
- Desire to only work with A-players and scrappy entrepreneurs
- Passionate sports fan
