As a Data and Analytics Summer Analyst Intern with Hines, you will perform the integral role of helping design systems to capture data as it is generated. The Data & Analytics team is responsible for transforming the data generated through Hines’s regular course of business into strategic insights. - Perform data analysis
- Generate queries, create/maintain spreadsheets and tracking tools
- Problem-solving and making data corrections
- Taking on responsibility for small projects/special assignments
- Assisting with the execution of key initiatives
- Partner with professionals within the department to collect information to complete tasks
- Document current data generation, flows, uses, and needs
- Identify procedural inefficiencies and develop or source software to automate or improve workflows
Minimum Requirements include:
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or another quantitative field from an accredited institution.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of SQL and data management.
- The candidate must have a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA, or have enough experience in one of the following programming languages to pick up VBA quickly: Python, Java, R, C/C++.

- Ability to manage a variety of tasks on a tight schedule
- Ability to analyze real estate from a strategic point of view
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently
