JOB DESCRIPTION

Team: Innovation and Tech Transfer Team at The Walt Disney Studios – Studio Technology Division.

We support Innovation & Research teams working on bleeding edge software that assists our filmmakers. Looking for a senior full stack developer who will focus on taking code that ranges from prototype to mature and integrate it into software pipelines supported by our Studio Technology team. In addition, this role may involve writing plugins/tools for digital content creation tools like Nuke, Resolve, Maya etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Experience developing artist tools & workflows for applications like Nuke, Resolve, Maya, Houdini is a strong plus
• 10+ years experience in a related role
• Strong in C++
• Comfortable with scripting languages, Python preferred
• Experience in DevOps tasks, particularly involving Docker, CI is a plus
• Experience in development for Linux environments
• Great at debugging own and legacy code
• Comfortable in git
• Understanding of concepts such as memory management, multithreading and parallelism is a strong plus

Profile:

• Demonstrated experience as a software engineer shipping production code
• Fundamentally sound software development skills with the confidence to learn new concepts/platforms/tools that you will be integrating software into

DESIRED SKILLS

• Understanding and interest in topics such as Machine Learning, Computer Vision or Visual Computing is a strong plus
• Experience in TensorFlow and/or Torch as well as general machine learning knowledge is a strong plus
