Job Description

• 8+ years Senior BI Reporting resource with 5+ years on Power BI with knowledge in Microsoft BI Stack
• Interface with the client application teams and internal team members for technical discussions and solution resolutions
• Apply analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
• Build Analysis Services reporting models
• Create report analysis, design documents, test cases
• Develop tabular / multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards
• Build operational and analytical reports and dashboards with Power BI
• Create KPI scorecards, customized charts, custom calculations, effective visualizations as per requirements
• Write efficient DAX queries and functions
• Implement appropriate security level on data access
• Plan and implement report test strategies and perform testing
• Troubleshoot and fix report data, performance issues

Primary Skills

• 8+ years of experience in BI Reporting & Analytical Dashboards 5+ years on Power BI
• Proven experience in understanding and analysing business requirements to create functional specifications for reporting applications
• Expertise in applying analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
• Hands on experience in implementing tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards
• Experienced in MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
• Experience in performance improvement of models and reports
• Strong understanding of application security layer models in Power BI and its application like row level security
• Data warehouse development experience on SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS is desirable
• Strong knowledge of database management, SQL querying, data modelling, data warehousing

Secondary Skills

• Very good communication skills, capable of discussing the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams.
• Strong documentation skills
• Past experience in similar BI project, eliciting and creating functional specifications for reports / dashboards for a new system being implemented
• Excellent verbal/written communication & good interpersonal skills
• Experience on Agile – Scrum based engagements
• Domain knowledge of Resource (People) Supply Chain desired
