This position will call patients with MPX and gonorrhea to obtain additional information on risk factors that may put them at higher risk for infection. This position will call a subset of people who test negative for MPX to conduct a case-control evaluation that will more definitively determine risk factors associated with MPX (compared to those who test positive for gonorrhea and/or test negative for MPX) as well as MPX vaccine effectiveness to inform public health response efforts.
