JOB DESCRIPTION

An employer in the Downtown, Houston area is looking for a Data Scientist. This position is responsible for developing algorithms, modeling techniques, and optimization methods that support many aspects of the companies business. daily, this person will develop machine learning, optimization and other modeling solutions. They will also prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses. They will work with a variety of datasets, including timeseries data and “big data” requiring analysis on distributed computing platforms.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist

Ability to writes software in R, Python or similar languages and contribute code to product development teams

Upstream oil and gas experience
