Role overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong quantitative skills who also has a good understanding python and SQL. This person will work with data and information from a multitude of areas with the ability to summarize and make recommendations to upper-level management based on their findings.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Create and manage large data sets.
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
- Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
- Python, database, and programming experience is required
What you will be doing…
- Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
- Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis
- Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation
- Exploring investment opportunities
- Establishing and evaluating profit plans
- Identifying trends in financial performance
- Providing financial models and forecasting
We would love someone with…
- A good knowledge of the general IT industry and terminology
- A’ level’s in English language, literature or history
- Research and analytics experience
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong eye for detail
- PC literate with working knowledge of, Microsoft packages, inclusive of: Outlook, Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience…
- A good knowledge of the general IT industry and terminology
- Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related degree
- Postgraduate degree preferred
- Background in Research, Analytics and Data interpretation
- Ability to take large data sets and turn them into meaningful insights
