Data Science Manager, Facebook App New Surface Monetization Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of data scientists and managers to shape short- and long-term company strategy through a better understanding of the drivers of the business ecosystem
- Drive analytics projects end-to-end in partnership with teams from Finance, Engineering, Product Management and across the Analytics community to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions
- Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how users interact with ads products
- Provide mentorship to the team on both technical and strategic direction
- Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions
- Cultivate an environment of analytics and experimentation excellence ensuring high quality output
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, operations research, econometrics, computer science, engineering), or BS/MS in a quantitative discipline with equivalent working experience
- 4+ years of experience in team leadership/people management through layers
- Track-record driving product roadmap and execution
- Experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functionally
- Experience communicating both in low-level technical details as well as high-level strategies
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience (3+ years with a Ph.D.) in applied quantitative field, including a minimum of 2 years of experience managing analytics teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business or another quantitative field
- Experience working in digital advertising
- 7+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis, statistical modeling or machine learning in the experimentation space
