Overview:

First National Bank of America is seeking an individual who enjoys extracting and presenting meaningful data to management and co-workers to assist in the daily management of their areas. As a Business Intelligence Architect, you will work closely with all departments within the bank from the mailroom to the board room to provide meaningful insight into the Bank’s portfolio and processes through the development of an Enterprise Wide data warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: On-site in our East Lansing, MI office

Responsibilities:

Daily work would include:

Responsible for the conception, design, development and deployment of data architecture and data models
Work together with various business units to develop data warehouse platform vision, strategy, and roadmap
Responsible for the development of physical and logical data models
Ensure high-performance access to diverse data sources
Enforce architectural constraints and reject designs which compromise system integrity

Qualifications:

A preferred candidate will have:

3+ years of experience as a data warehouse architect
A broad understanding of tabular modeling and other warehousing modeling techniques, data pipeline development, orchestration, monitoring, and ETL processing
Proficiency with data analysis, modelling, and schema design
Proficiency with Microsoft data warehousing tools: SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
Proficiency with source control and project management tools like Git, and Jira
A familiarity with DevOps best practices and automation of documentation, testing, build, deployment, configuration, and monitoring
A demonstrable affinity for logical thought
A desire to work independently on individual tasks, while functioning as part of a team
A desire to assist others, both as an interpreter and provider of data
A demonstrable desire to continually learn and be able to apply new information
