Job Location: Vadodara
Position Summary
The position is for building the next generation of our Reporting module of our Integrated Workforce Management (IWM) applications. Partnering with other top Engineers, Architects, Product Managers & QAs, you will help define, design, and implement world-class SaaS solutions for our customers.
Primary Responsibilities
• Participate in design, development and maintenance of star / snow flake schema from transactional database.
• Able to write efficient SQL queries against data warehouse schema.
• Able to identify gaps in database design and come up with solution to fix them.
• Work with Data Architect regarding ETL processes from heterogenous sources.
• Work with the IT team on infrastructure and scalability needs.
• Participate in design and development of custom data visualization application.
• Collaborate with other engineers & participate in all technical discussions
• Investigate new tools, technologies & apply them appropriately to the tasks on hand
• Work closely with product managers & quality assurance engineers to ensure on time product delivery
Secondary Responsibilities
- Helping production support engineers to troubleshoot production issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Designed, developed and supported a moderate to complex data warehouse solution using Oracle and/or Postgresql databases.
- Demonstrable knowledge of writing efficient and complex SQL for querying Oracle and/or Postgres DB.
- Has ability to tune and/or work with DBAs for badly executing queries.
- Good knowledge of database modelling.
- Good knowledge of data security/GDPR regulations.
- Good knowledge of ETL tools.
- Knowledge of visualization tools like Spotfire/Tableau/Microstrategy.
- Secondary experienced with MVC architecture, Spring boot, Spring framework, Apache, Tomcat, Hibernate/JPA, & Junit, JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, etc.
- Good problem-solving skills & quick learner for new concepts & new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Be a motivated self-starter that enjoys working in a dynamic environment
- B.S. in Computer Science is required or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience building BI/Reporting in a SaaS solutions
- Experience working at start-ups or other fast-paced software development environment
