BUSINESS ANALYST
CLASSIFICATION–FULL TIME
DEPARTMENT-Analytics
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business analyst will support the business and sales department by leveraging big data technologies to aggregate and structure data, and perform reporting, BI and statistical analysis.
- Perform data discovery, analysis, and modeling
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance
- Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to aid business decision-making
- Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders
- Integrate business insight to Identify specific business opportunities
- Assist with project management for selected projects
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to better understand valuable objectives and KPIs and to design relevant reports and dashboards to produce better business outcomes
- Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents
PROFICIENCIES
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong knowledge of 1 or more scripting and programming languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.)
· Expert in Tableau
· Experience of Data ETL process is a plus
· Sophisticated word processing and computer database skills, especially in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
· Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience
- BS/MS degree in a business/quantitative field: finance, engineering, math, statistics etc.
- 3+ years of experience in data, analytics, and predictive modeling, preferably in the financial services industry
