Moichor delivers computer vision and data solutions to solve challenges in microscopy for veterinary diagnostics. We are looking for a Computer Vision Scientist to facilitate the research and development of Computer Vision methodologies using our wealth of imaging and diagnostics data available for research and exploration. 

The person in this role is expected to be able to set priorities, communicate product milestones, collaborate with others, and work autonomously to meet established goals.

Responsibilities

Independent works

• Work with the CTO to identify short and medium-term objectives for server-based CV/AI microscopy products at Moichor
• Research and prototype State-of-the-art Computer Vision and Deep Learning methods to develop solutions that meet product requirements
• Translate product feature requirements into design input/ specification and come up with high-level algorithm designs 
• Document and present progress in CV algorithm design, development, and evaluation 

Additionally, there is an opportunity for leadership

• Lead and mentor CV engineer, data analyst, and data engineer to implement and deploy CV algorithms as an integral part of the workflow in Moichor diagnostic labs 
• Work with data engineer to develop and maintain a data pipeline for R&D purpose

Qualifications

Professional requirements

• M.S or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering specializing in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related disciplines
• Publication record of meaning contributions to relevant Computer Vision, clinical ML, or Biomedical venues
• Expertise in implementing solutions with PyTorch and PyTorch Vision

Nice to have

• Familiarity with microscopy data or biomedical imaging data is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Detectron
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda
