The Citi Global Wealth and Investment Technology Group (CGW) is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to assist in the development of several key modules of its portfolio management and trading platforms. The position involves working with global application teams and responsible for developing process automation, trading capabilities, as well as driving the technology strategy and solutions for these functions. Global application teams are based out of US, Singapore, and India. You will be responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
End to end accountability for determining solutions for software development projects
Key stakeholder management with various internal customers, partners, and internal and external suppliers
Prepare Business, Functional Requirements & Design Document in collaboration with various internal stakeholders and obtained sign off as per project planned
Act as a “translator” between the Business, Change Team, and Operation and Technology
Work with development/ testing team to explain functionality
Lead the definition of problem statements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Develop & maintain SDLC documents as needed based on Agile or SDLC methodologies
Assisting with QA team in generating scenarios for effective and thorough testing
Assisting with integration and acceptance testing
Providing support during and post implementation
Dealing with and supporting users including for BAU prod issues
Delivering material/presentations to Senior Management, internal and external clients
Ensure System designs and solutions are as per Citi policies, and procedures and guidelines
Required Skills:
6 – 10 years of experience
Candidate must have a minimum of 6+ years of experience working in the financial sector
Strong functional knowledge in Investment Management, Portfolio Management and Trading Platforms. Must display good understanding of financial concepts and terminologies.
Good knowledge in SQL
Must be able to document Business Requirement Document (BRD), Functional Requirement Document (FRD), data flow diagrams, ER diagrams, Requirement’s traceability matrix and business and technical use cases
Must have knowledge of SDLC, Agile and Scrum methodologies
Project management
Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio), Jira (Scrum and Kanban), SQL, Service Now, Confluence
Preferred Skills:
Effective communication skills (verbal & written) in a clear and concise manner with various stakeholders
Self-motived / team player that works well with individuals-groups in a complex, global organization
Ability to build relationships and negotiate solutions while liaising between business, operations and technology
Ability to work in challenging & demanding timelines
Ability to work with offshore development team
Experience in Risk and Regulatory Compliance Reporting – CCAR, FR2052a / Liquidity, MIFID is a plus
Business Analyst certifications is a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Jersey City Salary Range: $120,710.00 – $181,070.00 USD Annual
