The Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in helping us continue our innovative approach of building and delivering advanced solutions to our markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis and translation of business requirements into system definitions and recommended solutions. The key focus for this role is the analysis of system-related data to answer specific business and technical questions.
What you’ll do
Work with product managers and development groups on a regular basis to ensure software releases are delivered accurately and on schedule
Perform and document analysis of current business processes to define business requirements
Perform and document analysis of future state business processes including user and information system roles
Perform data discovery and analysis
Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories
Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents
Liaison to application developers and technical analysts to respond to business process questions raised during code development
Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure product delivery and quality goals are achieved and maintained
Collaborate with product manager on roadmap planning and prioritization
Maintain/improve systematic processes and procedures to support front-end phases of the software development life cycle
Assist with problem resolution in production systems, follow established procedures for problem escalation
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
5+ years of software/technology business analysis
Excellent knowledge of standard software methodologies
Direct experience in title or mortgage technology, real estate information, or database information products required
Data Requirements
Strong understanding and experience using data and analytics to create logic driven products
Ability to understand and have experience with using data to fuel automation
Ability to use data to gain product gain insights, validate risk, and demonstrate those risks and insights in a meaningful way
Ability to understand data structures and how to use them (SQL, Snowflake)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills to identify business and technical requirements and lead teams to meet specific project goals
Excellent planning, organizational and analysis skills
Understand and communicate the business impact of technology solutions deployed to the current business environment
Quickly gain solid working knowledge of standard features and functions of multiple complex systems and applications to facilitate analysis and problem resolution
Identify problems, research alternatives, test to confirm, gain consensus, and implement solutions
Strongly proficient with MS Office Suite
Ability to analyze technical data extracts using Excel
