Key Responsibilities
• Supports the design and development of program methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse “big data” sources
• Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis and compiles data for scheduled or special reports and analysis
• Preparing data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Create new data validation methods
• Convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret.
• Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
Requirements
• BTech/ MTech in Computer Science, IT, or similar field
• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Hands on experience in SQL.
• In-depth knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, and similar frameworks.
• Experience in agile development methodologies is a must
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge on cloud technologies or tools.
• Working knowledge of R and/or Python is preferred
• Adequate knowledge of data structures, algorithms and other foundational concepts of Computer Science
• Ability to solve complex networking, data, and software issues.
• Data engineering certification is a plus
• Fundamental knowledge of big data handling methods and practices
