Total Work Experience: 8 yrs +
Experience in the Desired skillset: minimum 6 yrs
Desired Technical Skill-set:
- Proficient with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.)
- Proficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
- Proficient in intermediate to advanced data science algorithms
- Advanced pattern recognition and predictive modelling experience
- Experience with MS Excel, Tableau, SQL
Job Description:
- Data mining or extracting usable data from valuable data sources
- Using machine learning tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers
- Carrying out preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic systems
- Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis
- Analyzing large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions
- Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms
- Presenting results in a clear manner
- Lead all data experiments tasked by the Data Science & Vessel Performance Team.
- Coordinate with Data Engineers/Analysts to build data environments providing optimization, and prediction.
- Analyzes problems and determines root causes.
- Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop a strategy for long-term data platform architecture

- Master’s degree in data science, stats, applied math, or related discipline
