Responsibilities

• Ability to develop Impulse Response models and leverage them to improve forecasting accuracy

• Analyze regions and sectors within the global oil demand complex

• Contribute to core market research, data gathering/structuring, model updates and improvement in our forecast methodologies

• Contribute to the team of analysts responsible for our proprietary simulation model for global oil market dynamics and price formation

• Add insight and value to the general research, product development and client facing activities of the respective product teams

• Be a key contributor/developer responsible for further developing and maintaining our sectorial models for oil demand in the Energy Transition.

• Present our research at conferences and in front of clients

Skills & Attributes for Success

We are looking for a motivated candidate with analytical mindset and strong quantitative skills to strengthen our Oil Demand team.

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance or similar is required. PhD a plus.

• Up to 5-year experience in market research, trading analysis, consulting, and/or academia with focus on energy and/or oil markets.

• Strong quantitative skills. Detailed knowledge of Time Series Analysis, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence is an advantage.

• Outstanding ability to synthesize data and information from multiple sources (quantitative and qualitative)

• Outstanding ability to process and analyze large data sets, using programming languages such SQL, Python, R and/or Matlab.

• Proactive, independent, open-minded, and creative

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and a strong multi-tasker

• Great communication skills (English), both verbally and in written form. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

• Ability to present complex analysis succinctly and clearly

• A positive personality with strong motivation to grow personally and contribute to the company s ambitious growth plans
