Key responsibilities
- Understand Business requirements and define Domain Model, Data Model and DB Design
- Evolve and Optimize old DB design to meet business requirements
- Document Data model and DB design along with mapping, transformation between Current and Target DB design
- Maintain detailed data dictionary with business definition, module-wise segregation and old DB design mapping
- Establish, follow and review code for best practices and standards
- Identify and fix improvement areas and performance bottlenecks
- Analyze, diagnose and resolve bugs/errors related to their applications
- Help define project plans and tasks assignment requiring software development
- Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, senior management and customers
- Communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and verbally, in one-on-one and group presentation situations
Key skills
- At least 7+ years of Data modelling, ERD and DB design
- In-depth Knowledge and Experience of RDBMS and cloud
- Experience of designing Database for at least 3 large enterprise grade projects
- Expert in writing complex PL SQL queries
- A solid understanding of Normalization and DB concepts
- Strong analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of managing team (> 10 team members)
