Are you an analytical thinker? Are you interested in data?

We are looking for someone who can:
– Become a subject matter expert for HR on the Data Governance Platform system (DGP) that UBS uses to capture data models, data descriptions, controls, rules, master and authoritative systems, and data flows of all functions and Divisions across UBS
– Maintain and register HR data in DGP
– Maintain and build tools (VBA, Python, views in DGP) that help efficiently maintain the data in DGP
– Understand the canonical HR data model that is shared with consumers of HR data via DGP and work with CDIO HR team to evolve this
– Work with HR Service Delivery Operations teams to understand HR data e.g. regional differences
– Work with downstream consuming applications requiring a hand-shake process via DGP before they are allowed to consume HR data
– Liaise with system owners in recruiting and learning function to make sure that also their data is appropriately registered in DGP
– Become an expert of the database model that underlies the core HR platform and develop queries on that database using SQL
– Get familiar with the actual HR data distribution mechanisms (APIs, Data Integration Hub, data lakes as globally used by UBS) and support project activities as required.

You will be working in the HR Technology team which sits in the Human Resources Department.
We are responsible for the HR data within the core HR platform and the provision of data to other consumers within HR and across other functions within UBS. The team will be focused on the data management framework and evolving our data offering. The HR Technology team is spread across the world with the largest groups in Zurich, Krakow, London and Pune. This role will be based in Krakow or Pune (no relocation possible).

– 8+ years of experience in a relevant data analysis or IT development role;

– An engineering or programming background, including experience with databases and SQL;
– Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel, Access and Visual Basic for MS Applications;
– Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
– Excellent command of English;
