Data Engineer – Airflow – Remote

The role we are currently searching for is Data Engineer – Airflow in a remote setting

What will you be doing in this role:

• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• Orchestrate the Airflow/workflow in hybrid cloud platform AWS/Azure/GCP setup and administration is a plus.
• Proficient in modern programming languages (Python, Java) with experience and open-source technologies.
• Demonstrate professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in DEVOPS models with experience in containerization platform via building the docker, assembly, deployment, automation, and best practices for managing applications.
• Manage shared services in an Infrastructure management capacity assessment, forecast, planning

What experience do you need to have to succeed

• 3+ years’ experience in big data- data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• 
  Apache Airflow experience required
• Experience in performance tuning of the DAG and task implementation
• Knowledgeable in building new process/frameworks in big data eco systems such as Cloudera/Hortonworks components Hadoop, spark, or Hive
• Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
• 
  AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud experience required
  
• Must have experience working in Agile environments Scrum Certification a plus
