Job Description-
Summary of the role:
The practitioner is responsible for designing and developing solutions that will shape our customer’s hospitality experience. He/she will ensure all supported Amadeus Hospitality technology offerings, including existing products and platforms, are secure and scalable, of exceptional quality, and deliver high value to our customers.
In this role youll:
• Understand and contribute to the entire application lifecycle.
• Solve problems independently
• Design and develop enterprise solutions that can scale to hundreds of concurrent users.
• Build subject expertise
• Develop fast proof-of-concepts
• Ensure deliverables are on time and meeting the required quality and security criteria.
• Troubleshoot issues, fix, test and deploy them with production quality.
• Create well-written technical documentation for design and code being developed
• Will work on an agile team in support of multiple platforms and applications
• Will partner with other teams within an Enterprise Agile Release Train to plan and deliver critical work on an aggressive cadence
• Will be an effective communicator, an advocate for established internal and industry best practices, and enjoys mentoring others
About the ideal candidate:
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant Work Experience:
o 4 to 10 years of experience or equivalent knowledge in a software engineering role.
o Ideal Business and Process Skills:
Business Understanding:
o Experience with Hospitality a plus
o Experience with Agile, Kanban, or Scrum.
o SAFe experience with certification(s) is a plus
Skills:
o Computing:
Technology Stack: Angular, Java, Power BI
Multiple DBs: SQL, T-SQL, NoSQL
Experience in Cloud computing stacks and Enterprise application development
Source Control: Git
o Languages: Excellent command of English, oral and written
o Specific Knowledge:
Proven Object-Oriented programming experience
Fluent with coding design patterns and architectural best practices
Highly proficient with UI/UX, Reporting, RestAPI, SQL and NoSQL databases
Solid understanding of DevOps and cloud-based build and deployment technologies. Azure is preferred, but others will be considered.
