Roles and Responsibilities
- Help apply technology to optimize research and development of index products
- Develop an understanding index products and processes
- Participate in designing, coding and reviewing quantitative codes
- Work with the team to manage the deployment of code into production environments in a safe and controlled manner
- Work with the production support team to build the tooling / monitoring required to maintain the system
- Work with technology teams to standardize build / deployment processes
Desired Candidate Profile
- Good understanding of the Python scientific stack
- Experience in Python development (including unit testing)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and practices in a financial organization
- Experience in writing SQL queries using Oracle joins and a good understanding of DBMS
- Experience in working with source code version control systems such as git
- Experience in coordinating with business customers to gather requirements and discuss solutions
