Role and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities from different types of data sources using SSIS
• Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way that s geared towards the needs of end users
• Work with the business in designing and delivering correct, high quality data
• Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines , notify end-users and implement adequate solutions
• Conducting preliminary testing of the warehousing environment before data is extracted.
• Coding SQL queries(creating tables Index, function stored procedure ,Pivot Unpivot )required for data cleansing and data transformation activities
• Maintain, improve, and develop new scheduled reports, ad-hoc reports to support needs of various teams
• Maintain and improve already existing processes.
• Providing L1 support for DW application to ensure high availability.
• Prepare documentation for further reference
• Contribute in new developments and enhancements to existing applications.

Skills and Experience:

• Preferred engineering background with about 3-4 years of experience in IT field.
• Extensive knowledge of data base coding languages (TSQL).

• Experience in Microsoft Data base and BI Tools – MS SQL Server ,SSIS and SSRS
• Good understating of DW modeling concept (Dimension , Fact , Measures , Star Snow flake schema)
• Proven work experience as an ETL developer, using SSIS.

• Experience in any one of the reporting tools like SSRS, Qlickview and Tableau preferred
• Good understanding in any of the coding language .Net Python would be a plus
• Ability to interface across departments internally, including Operations, Manufacturing.
• Must be willing and flexible to learn new tools and technology and openness to work in unknowns
• Good analytical skills and high attention to detail

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
