• The candidate will be responsible for supporting Investment Research Group on enabling digital capabilities and developing robust technology infrastructure.
• Emphasis is on driving data and analytical capabilities within the team and also managing multiple and changing priorities, expectations and concerns while working closely with business partners in a focused and responsive manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to investment research group in gaining operational efficiency through automation and enabling digital capabilities
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and support on BAU reports
• Implement concepts like mean variance optimization and other statistical techniques for allocation team
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Use data management tools like SQL, DataIku for data mining and visualization through power BI
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Learn different financial terminologies across investment research domain
• Maintain reporting and other process documentation for Business Continuity purposes.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of technology related on-the-job experience with strong financial and business analysis skills
• Financial services experience, preferably with a large US based financial firm
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS, python, R, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Master s degree in computer science, computer application (MCA) / Engineering or other technical discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with minimal oversight / guidance

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical capabilities along with an expert level knowledge of Python, SQL
• Excellent communication skills (needs to effectively work and stay in touch with US colleagues across different business units)
