We are looking for a Data Engineer/Software Developer to build production quality applications for ETL jobs, implementation of model training and prediction services and UX services.
Candidates responsibilities include participating in all phases of the data science lifecycle development.
Responsibilities
- Works with machine learning team members to understand data, ML workflows and deployment needs
- Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds integrations tools to support data volume and complexity.
- Implements processes and systems to monitor ML pipeline
- Writes unit/integration tests for testing ML model readiness for robustness, generalization and scalability, and documents work.
- Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
- Defines data assets (data models), Kubernetes, spark, sparkSQL, and hiveSQL jobs to populate data models.
- Designs and evaluates open source and vendor tools for data lineage.
- Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.
- Builds efficient data engineering workflows in Python for ETL, model training and prediction using python and C++ in cloud and on-premise servers
- Prepare technical documentation
- Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
- Data Engineer Qualifications / Skills:
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Process oriented with great documentation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
Qualification and Requirements
- BS/MS degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Python, C++ Development
- 2+ years of experience in development of APIs for ETL jobs
- 2+ years of experience in deployment of ML pipeline on cloud
- Knowledge of distributed framework, .net framework, visualization libraries like BOKEH, D3.JS will be plus
