Job Location: Pune
PlanetSmartcity is looking for a seasoned IoT Business Analyst who can help to shape its IoT Smart building/ facility Platform with an in-depth customer insights and technical documentation capabilities. He/She would be part of IoT Platform competency team based at Pune, India and helps to make the IoT platform feature roadmap into a reality.

- This position requires a minimum of three to 7 to 10 years of business analysis experience, including a minimum of 2 years focused on IoT.
- Experience in developing IoT Product specific requirements
- Assist employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to IoT processes, procedures and services.
- Strong knowledge in IoT technologies such as IoT Use cases, IoT Security, IoT Analytics, IoT platform, IoT connectivity/communication, IoT Device Management.
- Ability to visualize and convert the requirements into a product specification document
- Develop User stories and detailed technical specifications involving multiple systems interfaces such as Front-end, middleware and backend developments.
- Develop wireframes based on business requirements and understand best practices in user experiences.
- Work closely with UX/UI developer to review the designs
- Collaborate with business and Head of Product to understand Product needs and define requirements; translate requirements into technical solutions; provide recommendations and contingency plans.
- Works with Product leaders to assure that effective engagement processes exist to support IoT product and service developers.
- Write documentation related to IoT Product manual, support operation, but not limited to, procedures, system documentation, and technical guides.
- Assist in the development of support operation procedure and structure to provide efficient/fast responses, developing manuals/guidelines to help/educate end-users.
- Ensure best design maximizing the use of IoT platform out-of-the-box capabilities.
Interact with internal stakeholders, end users and vendor teams to ensure alignment of requirements and deliverables. - Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA), developers/ engineers and architects to align solutions, identify dependencies, and ensure functional results.
- Constructs, documents, and maintains standards and processes to enable effective engagement in these areas.
- Documents and demonstrates solutions through flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, etc.
- Maintains and develops technical knowledge through independent research and self-education; participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains professional networks; participates in professional organizations
- Understanding the cloud computing strategy and cloud-based infrastructure technologies, apply such knowledge and experience in developing user stories
- Demonstration of experience or knowledge of Customer Service is required.
- Speaks and writes clearly and effectively; Listens to others, correctly interprets messages from others and responds appropriately; Asks questions to clarify and exhibits interest in having two-way communication; Tailors language, tone, style and format to match the audience; Demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed.
- Advanced level computer experience, including skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Trello , MS Planner, MS DevOps for agile project management is necessary.
- Ability to work independently and in a team is vital.
- Experience in performing usability testing and defect reporting and management
- Experience leveraging Agile project management techniques and methodologies.
- Facilitation techniques and conducting workshop which focuses to elicit and analyze business and technical requirements.
- Develops IT capability roadmaps and helps translate function requirements into technical requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Drive performance improvement through root cause analysis, and be accountable for managing work stream tasks, deliverables and schedule.
- Provide technical and thought leadership for the development and integration of new IoT solutions.
Nice to have (Optional):
- Knowledge in IoT Platforms such as MS Azure IoT, PTC Thing Worx, Amazon IoT would be added advantage
- Experience in creating specification for IoT SaaS Solutions/platforms for B2B/B2C customers
- Exposure to multiple IoT connectivity and transportation protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, etc.
- Exposure to Smart City/Smart building and home automation IoT solutions.
- Know-how of embedded hardware devices and its working using various protocols such as BLE, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, etc.
