Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate business requirements and technical design documents to assess testability and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Team members to clarify requirements and define test cases.
- Design, develop, and maintain test scripts and test cases based on business requirements.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases for functional testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Execute test to address test areas such as software functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, negative testing, and usability testing before production deployment.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Analyze the test results, report and fix script issues, and report and create application bugs.
- Develop in-depth system and application knowledge to provide higher test quality and coverage
- Review test scripts and test cases developed by other team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement of Software QA processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 4 – 7 years of working experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Understanding of software testing, its mains concepts, and processes: bug life cycle, different testing levels, methods, and types; test estimation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.
- An advocate of Quality Assurance, Agility, Continuous Improvement, and industry- recognized best practices.
- Detail-oriented.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
- Team player.
- Intermediate to Advance SQL skills to extract, compare, and analyze data.
- Exposure and experience to any of the following tools
- Quality Management Tool
- Defect Tracking Tools
