Novartis has recently started a program on setting up an Enterprise Data and Analytics platform and is now looking for talented and passionate professionals to join NBS IT team and help us #ReimagineMedicine. We are looking for an outstanding Machine Learning Architect to join our Data Science Enablement team. Our goal is to enable internal Novartis teams to optimize their workflows and solve problems using a data driven approach.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develops and maintaining services with high production quality standards, components for feature data storage, ML Model training & inferencing, ML Model storage & management, Model Evaluation metrics

• Ensures that activities across the ML lifecycle phases are carried out using the right technologies. Designs the architecture for raw data transformation to final model deployment and monitoring

• Works with peer product teams to build and maintain the Platform capabilities, including data labeling, ML Training, Inferencing, Visualization and Monitoring of the models. Evaluates various ML platforms based on user requirements

• Develops lifecycle management workflows for these Models to be deployed as a service and available for inferencing. Works on providing capabilities to use and fine-tune the latest state-of-the-art Machine learning & Deep Learning models, for diverse use-cases

• Builds self service flows and automations, enabling Ethical AI through MLOps tools and processes

• Works with various internal ML teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs and design ML solutions that make the best use of the ML Platform. Partners with Solution Architect, Customer Success Experts and Product Development teams to accelerate customer adoption

• Works with the Product Manager in defining the product roadmap, backlog and release planning and coaches Product Engineers during the implementation.

• Thought Leadership – Evangelize our product and share best practices through forums such as blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures etc.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 12+ years’ IT experience in Data Analytics & Science platform with specialization in Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

• 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with Enterprise applications. Deep understanding and experience in the field of AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and related technologies

• Experience developing ML models in real-world environments and integrating AI/ML and other AWS services into large-scale production applications

• Experience architecting and delivering cost-efficient multi-cloud ML Platforms (AWS, Azure), using different Data Science tools for varied needs, ranging from No-Code ML to advanced Data Science use cases

• Hands on experience with problem solving using Machine Learning / Deep Learning. Deep understanding of various AWS Services such as S3, ECS, EKS, Sagemaker, Lambda etc.

• Well versed in Agile methodology and experience in software shipping cycles (dev, test, prod).
