We are looking for a passionate Technical Lead with a strong background in software engineering to build highly scalable applications that will be used by our millions of users (growers/sales/marketing teams) across APAC
In this role you will be responsible for design, development & deployment of our digital solutions. As a Tech Lead you will also be providing knowledge on efficient and effective software development practices
Key success factors for the role are:
- Working with agile product development teams with a distributed team environment (internal and external developers , UX , BI, Data Engineers)
- Effective stakeholder management and interaction with product managers,design, users (agronomists, data scientists, data engineers) and IT supporting teams.

- Provide Architectural & Design Guidance while also being an Individual Contibutor
- Control Technical Debt while ensure Code Healthiness
- Be the driver for Implementing the best practices and coding standards of the project.
- Promote Collaboration & Engagement
- Constantly motivate and encourage team to give their best, especially during the time when they are pressurised with highly ambitious targets.
- Contribute towards short and long-term strategy for the product
- Proposes, implements and supports new technological solutions that improve business operations
Requirements:
Education/experience:
- Bachelor or MSc degree in Computer Science, IT or or other related field or relevant equivalent working experience
- 8+ years relevant software engineering working experience
- Explicit and extensive agile delivery experience
- Very strong understanding of designing RESTful APIs
- Very strong understanding of structured data and unstructured data
- Very strong understanding of cloud architectures, ideally AWS
- Very strong understanding of object-oriented programming languages like Scala or Java
- Very strong understanding of SQL database (such as MySQL/Postgres) and one noSQL database (such as MongoDB, elasticsearch or cassandra)
- Good understanding with container orchestration tools (such as dockers, kubernetes)
- Good understanding of Full-Stack development
- Exposure to Front end development (Web & Mobile development)
- Good understanding of Micro-service architectures, design patterns and distributed architectures
- Good understanding of Unix commands and scripting
- Good understanding of automation and CI/CD (test and build automation)
- Familiarity with GitHub and Gitlab
