Specific Responsibilities

• Develop and own analytical frameworks used for research, development and deployment of security controls in the serving (online), near real-time (stream processing) and offline (Hadoop batch) layers of PayPal s Cyber Security systems.
• Work along with data scientists to deliver world-class data science solutions from research phase all the way to production.
• Work on building a cloud deployable solution focusing on cloud security
• Gain expertise and deep understanding of PayPal s development cycles, platforms, and technology, while contributing to them via inner sourcing.

Required Skills

• Hands on – Responsible for writing code primarily in Scala, Python and Java.
• Hand on: Design end-to-end data pipeline solutions (noSQL databases, Job Schedulers, Hadoop/Big Data Development)
• Hands on : Ability to perform statistical analytics, machine learning algorithms and build machine learning models
• Excellent coding skills and deep understanding of object-oriented design, data-structures, concurrency and algorithms
• Basics of cloud and devops skills
• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
• Highly motivated, goal driven, can-do approach
• Innovative, collaborative, entrepreneurial, Team player, Ability to multi-task

• Excellent Communication Skill (written and verbal)

Experience Requirements

• 6 years of experience as software engineer
• 4 years of Hands on experience with Hadoop/Spark/Kafka
• 1 years of Hands on experience with statistical analysis, Machine Learning and experience in building production ready ML models
• Experience in building enterprise data lakes
• Familiarity with building rest services and DevOps
• Experience with Gradle/Maven/Git/Continuous integration
• BE/ME/MTech/MCA or equivalent
• Advantage: Experience in financial services and security technology industries.
• Advantage: Experience as a Security Engineer or Consultant performing software-based risk assessments, Zero Trust and Cloud Security
