What You Will Be Doing

• Driving Ayla s architectural direction and technological transformation into data engineering and deep-learning.

• Implementing hands-on solutions to the team s most challenging technical problems

• Working with our Java/Kubernetes microservices, Kafka Event Bus, and Hadoop/Spark Data Lake to build scalable pipelines.

• Create new analytics products using machine learning and AI

• Defining the technologies, priorities, and path forward for the next leg of our architectural evolution

• Shaping the engineering culture to help the team move faster without breaking things

• Influencing all areas of the company, our customers and partners, and beyond

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, building highly scalable systems

• Direct experience with building pipelines incorporating feature engineering and dimensional reduction techniques for Predictive and Prescriptive analytics.

• Understanding and application of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development

• Solid design ability with RESTful and steaming APIs

• Ability to leverage Cloud infrastructure and services (e.g. AWS, GCP) to create robust platforms

• Drive to succeed, learn, and grow in a fast-paced environment

• BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
