Note: candidate needs to be from BFSI domain with insurance expertise .Any BFSI domain will be highly proffered.

Key Responsibilities:
This job would have the following responsibilities:

• Managing the entire cycle of ML Models from Data extraction, Feature engineering, Model development, Training, Verification, Deployment, monitoring to validation at the defined frequencies
• Embed automated processes for model deployment, and implementation
• Would require thorough understanding of machine-learning algorithms
• Excellent understanding of ML techniques such as: Linear regression, logistic regression, decision tree, random forests, bagging & boosting techniques, SVM, neural networks and clustering techniques like K-means, h-clustering
• Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data to drive business decisions
• Data extraction, preprocessing, analysis of structured & unstructured data, and data visualization
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Ad-hoc analysis and sharing insights with the business users
• Hands on experience with any of the visualization tools to share the insights quickly with the business teams, if required (experience using Power BI- not mandatory)

Work experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience (BFSI domain with insurance expertise will be preferred )
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
• Experienced in data mining & statistical model development
• Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
• Hands on with Python/R is a must along with knowledge of querying; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ will be an advantage
• Analytical mindset and business acumen
• Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
