The role
We are looking for backend engineers to join our team. You will be involved in building core components that expand, deepen, and expedite the platform. You need to be a hacker at heart – try fast and fail faster so you can iterate to the best outcome.
On the back end, you will be working with very large datasets of laws, make them more efficient, and provide powerful APIs for internal and external usage. On the front end, you will be constantly challenging yourself and your colleagues to simplify this ocean of information for the end-user.
You will work on projects that span a few months to a few days. Some will be more research oriented while others will focus on developing the cool features that are essential to keeping our customers compliant.
You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, product owners, legal and compliance experts, and occasionally with our customers.
Tech Stack
We have built the best Tech Stack in the market – open source, purchased, and home-grown. In some cases, we have modified / enhanced open source modules and given back to the open source community. In other cases, we have conducted core research with renowned universities, pushed the boundaries of what was possible, and published the results for the entire industry to benefit from it. You will be part of a highly motivated team of engineers who provide positive reinforcement and help the individual and team grow.
What you must have
- Experience building enterprise-scale web applications for 3+ years
- Experience working with Python
- Knowledge of NoSQL database, specifically MongoDB
- Solid understanding of Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
- Experience in one of the popular Python frameworks (like Django, flask)
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design concepts
- Working with data structures and algorithms
- Writing unit test cases added an advantage
