Job Location: Hyderabad/Secunderabad
What we would love to see:
- Post graduate degree in applied math, statistics or engineering, or undergraduate math/statistics/engineering with advanced business/marketing/economics degree
- At least 5-7 years of experience working on data-intensive analytics solutions
- Solid understanding of data mining and statistics concepts and familiarity with real-world applications of these techniques
- Hands on experience in Machine Learning
- Experience working with commercial and/or open source statistics and data mining packages
- Strong experience building solutions with SAS and R or Python. Solid knowledge of SQL
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to clearly present and explain statistical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong inter-personal collaboration skills. Being able to both work in groups or as an individual contributor. Ability to mentor junior data scientists
- General curiosity, a willingness to experiment, pragmatism and the ability to handle ambiguity
